He sat in the quiet coffee shop, sipping his black coffee. He looked around until his eyes found the spot where just four months ago he and his fianceè sat for hours staring into each others eyes. They were a stereotypical couple happy and in love. At least, that’s what they looked like.one gorgeous day, he came back to an empty apartment. He first thought she’d simply gone out to run errands and forgot to tell him. Then seven o’ clock rolled around, they were supposed to meet up with some friends. He called her phone, it went straight to voicemail. He called her about ten more times, all ending with the same result. He was worried that something had happened to her and when his phone rang he yelled her name hoping she was calling to apologize for worrying. It wasn’t her however, it was his friend Gary calling to ask why his Facebook status was different. He gathered his strength and looked at his computer. It was true, he was no longer listed as Bing in a relationship with her. He raced to her closet and found every article of her clothing gone. He was in disbelief, he couldn’t believe that this was happening. It felt as though his heart had been ripped out of his chest and fed through a wood chipper.
It had taken him two months before he could smile, and another week before he could genuinely laugh. Pulling his eyes away from the booth, he shook his head as if to clear it of the horrible memory. They hadn’t spoken since and he had no idea what he would say to her when she walked through the door. Just the memory of her bright brown eyes, her long black hair made him shake. It took so much effort to get the coffee cup up to his lips and back down to the saucer. The as if on cue Jamie walked through the door. She hadn’t changed one bit. She glided as she normally did and sat down across from him.
"Hiya stranger," she said. "How’ve you been?"
I don’t know if you heard, but I just got into Syracuse, my top choice for grad school. I was wondering if you could help me with this scholarship app/contest that I have entered.
It is called the 4th GotScholarship $40K Give Away and it gives away $40,000 and $10,000 would be disbursed over 4 years. My program would last only 18 months, but the remainder of the money can be used to pay back student loans.
Here is where you come in: I have created a profile and “members” of the site can sponsor me. There are no costs involved. All you have to do is set up a profile and then click on the link. The more sponsors I get, the more chances I have of winning.
Thank you for any help that you can offer. I appreciate every little bit.
